Over at Duchess and Hare, we just released 2 new patterns. Roundabout Hi Lo Tunic and Dress along with Home Stretch Leggings in 5 lengths. These two are such quick sews, I was able to sew up 7 garments in a weekend! SEVEN!!!
Seriously, from cut to finish, each pair of leggings takes about 20 minutes. The top varies depending on the style chosen, but each one was under an hour.
I used the new retro summer line by Indybloom Design from Hawthorne Supply Co. I love how nicely these all mixed and matched. All of these are printed on jersey.
To start off, I’m going to show you my hi lo tunic.
This pattern was designed by my daughter. She wanted a drastic hi lo tunic with flounce sleeves and higher rise leggings than she can buy in the store. So, we worked together to come up with these two patterns.
I am in love with the drape of this jersey knit. It is perfect for circles and flounces. So dreamy.
This is the elbow length sleeve with flounce. You can also choose a short sleeve which makes the flounce end about 3/4 length under the arm. Shown with the ankle length Home Stretch (1 of 5 lengths to choose from)
Here is the hi lo shown with 4 other pairs of leggings. All sewn up in fabrics from the retro summer collection.
Stay tuned for tomorrow when I show you the peplum version of this pattern!
