Biography
Lover of nature, reader of science fiction, singer of folk songs, and photographer of interesting things, I’ve been sewing since 2009 and blogging since about the same time.
I’ve designed patterns for Violette Field Threads under their label and designed patterns for One Thimble, and Project Run and Play under Duchess and Hare, my own brand. I’ve been designing patterns professionally since 2015 and have sewn countless samples and final garments since then.
I’ve taken a break from pattern designing for now, but continue to sew for my dolls and photograph things around me that bring me joy.

I cannot wait to print and start cutting out my first pattern from you. Nutcracker is adorable! It ticks almost every box on my granddaughters modest dressing needs (I’ll cut the skirts a bit longer to cover their knees). I love that you have multiple sizes. Our oldest is a size 7 for her height, but is a skinny little size 5 around. I’ve been making very simple t-shirt style dresses for them, but have been yearning to show off some real skills. This pattern is perfect for adding piping, inset pockets… you’ve awakened my creative juices!!!
