Bee’s Knees Inspiration with Designer

I have been in love with this pattern forever. I can’t remember when I first saw it on the internet, but it’s always had my heart. The scallops, the double flutters, the vintageness…

I am proud to introduce Bee’s Knees to you. This pattern will give you over 40 different pinafore styles to pick from! Each of those styles has an optional sash. I’ve provided a handy interactive designer for you to use so that you can pick your favorite style. Scroll to the bottom to find the link and watch the video.

The scallops on this dress are actually hemmed! I can’t imagine doing a tiny little hem like that, so the scallops on Bee’s Knees are done differently. The scallop width is a bit deeper in the final version of the pattern from what’s shown above.

Because everyone LOVES options, I also included sweetheart neckline inspired by this Simplicity pattern.

This Tunic length with double ruffles is SO STINKIN CUTE! So perfect for summer.

I love the narrower bib on these vintage styles, so I kept that in mind when drafting my pattern.

I had to add MORE options. This button on bib is so vintage and adorable. I chose to have it just pull over the head rather than have back straps. This provides a bit more coverage for those concerned about modesty. It’s adorable alone or layered with a shirt.

The detachable bib is also darling with the tunic length skirt. The skirt has a 2 1/2″ ruffle at the bottom and is designed to hit just below the bottom. Show below with the bloomers from Free at Last and Bare Necessities.

Each of these line drawings were done using the interactive designer for Bee’s Knees. It’s available for free right HERE! Or watch the video below to see how it all works.
